The Student Cafeteria at Lunchtime
My university has a modern student cafeteria which can accommodate approximately 400 people. It has a large floor like a gymnasium in school and a lot of seats. Because of it, many students have lunch in there in lunchtime. Today, I will describe how be crowded in there in lunchtime. Around noon, a lot of students come in cafeteria and make long line to take a lunch. This line comes from entrance of cafeteria to exit located opposite to entrance. From entrance to exit, there are long distance about 200 people can stand between them. Of course, there are very noisy in lunchtime. You may hear laughter, some jokes, some whisper. And you can smell of foods comes from kitchen. When you smell it, you can guess what it is. Because of huge number of students, hundreds of dishes had prepared there. So its smell is strong to be able to analyze what it is. Our university’s cafeteria become so crowded in lunchtime.

My room
My Room
Today, I will describe my room focusing on extent of my room and one desk in there. Why I describe my desk is that I want you to know my precious. First, I describe width and height. I has a six-tatami mat room and three meters in height. I often wish my room be twice the size of now because I do not have enough room for storing clothing. Then next, I will describe a desk in my room. My desk is one meter long and 90 centimeter height. I have used it for thirteen years. And I put some animal stickers on it when I was younger. Therefore, I have attachment to this.

My Favorite place
Today, I will describe about café Taramonto which is my favorite place, and show two attractive features about it. One is its location, the other is its business style. First, I will describe its location. Café Taramonto is located on height where we can look down the Mihama town. And night view from there is so great because we can see the whole town. So I recommend there to have date with your girl friend or boyfriend. Then I will describe other attractive feature about cafe Taramonto. This cafe has an unusual feature about business style. At daytime, it works as a café where we can enjoy delicious lunch. Meanwhile, at nighttime, it changes to bar and we can enjoy drinking. So we can enjoy spending time in there for each style. As I said, café Taramonto is very attractive place.

My Refrigerator
Today, I will introduce content of my refrigerator by focusing on the top section because I often see it when I return to home. Top section is separated in three sections. At the top shelf, there are my sister’s foods which I can not touch them. Once I ate a chocolate which was left there, she got very angry. So I can not touch them even if I eager to eat. At the middle shelf, there are materials for tomorrow’s lunch box or breakfast. Since it takes long time for thawing frozen food for lunch box, my mother always keeps them at there. At the bottom shelf, there are leftovers I always check when I return home. If there are my favorite dishes when I am full, I was very disappointed. As I said, our refrigerator has roles for each sections.

How to Prepare for an Earthquake

Recently, some specialists predict that big earthquake might happen in Kanto region in the near future. If this expectation proves right, what can we prepare for it? Now, I will describe how to prepare for an earthquake. When I describe about it, I suppose that making escape route is most important thing. Because it is dangerous to stay inside a house. If you stay inside house, something might drop down on your head. For making escape route, first, we have to check a beeline to door by using a map of the house. After we check, we check the time to get out throughout the route. If it takes less than 30seconds, it is safe route. So you should choose it and remove the things which are in the route. I think that these method for making escape route might be helpful for an earthquake.

How to Live on a Small Budget
Japanese students always would like to get a lot of thing, especially for female, like clothes or shoes. But university students have to live on a small budget. So I will describe my original methods how to live on a small budget. I think it is easy to cut our budget for foods. For cutting some budget, I can bring some foods from my house. Thankfully, my mother makes lunch for me every day. So I can cut my budget. However, most effective method is to make you get busy. If you are too busy to use money, you can save your money because you do not have time to go outside. I think that going outside spends a lot of money, so not going outside is very effective for saving money.

How to clean my room after a party
After a party, we always have a lot of litter, like paper cup or paper plate. So I will describe how to clean my room after a party. First, I gather litter and put them into garbage bag. Secondly, I clean my room by sweeping floor properly. Then, I wipe the table because there might be a lot of piece of snacks. And I will clean my bathroom because many people might use it. And then, I check the lost things. If there is lost thing, I will call them back to keep it. Lastly, I send e-mail to people who joined the party. And I will say “thank you for coming the party. It was very exciting and I will invite you again.”

My Sister
I have an older sister. Her name is Tomoko named my father. “TOMO” means “friends” in Japanese, so my father wanted her to make many friends. As my father’s wish, she has a lot of friends, and she is good at make friends. She can be friends with anyone. She is companionable person. But she had passed heard life when she was a junior high school student, she stopped going to school when she was fourteen. There was no clear reason for truancy. But when she tried to go school, her body refuses to do it. However, in last year of junior high, she finally could over come it by helping with family. Lastly, I will talk about her job. She works in nursing home. Her work is so heard because there are many old people. She has to take care of their carefully. She sometimes complains about lack of people who cares them. But she likes her job, and old people. So she said that I would like to continue this job as I could. I am proud of my sister.

My class mate
My classmate’s name is Yukino Shimabukuro. She lives in Urasoe near our university. She has 5people in her family. She has two brothers, one older brother, one younger brother. She doesn’t have pet, but she loves animals and she wants a dog.
She belongs to basketball club called “Suger.” She love playing basketball. And she has played it since junior high school.
She is very friendly and considerate of other people, so she has a lot of friends. In first semester of my university, I didn’t have friends. When I was alone in group works, she talked me so friendly. Then she invited me to group works. I could have joined group work smoothly. So I appreciated her.
She joins to our extracurricular activities “English play” as playing stepmother of Cinderella. As I said before, personality is so kind. So she struggles to play spiteful stepmother. But she tries to her best when we practice a scene. She is hard worker.
Recently, she began to part time job at a café near Omoromachi city. I got a free ticket for one drink, so I would like to go there.

Hi, my name is Marumi Takeyama. I am a student of University of Ryukyus. I belong to Faculty of law and letters. I am 20 years old and grown-up in Japan. So I can drink, but I can not drink alcoholic drink. Regrettably, I am allergic to alcoholic. So I envy other people who can drink and enjoy it.
Then I will talk about my pet. I have a white cat. He is “P-Suke.” He has nasal inflammation. So when he breathes, his noise makes sounds “P~!” So our family call him as “P-chan” instead of his real name. As you can see, I love cats. And I do love animals. So I like to go Zoo and aquarium.

So this year is the 25th anniversary of English play. In this year, we play “In To The Woods.” (Please search about it on the internet! It is famous on musical company.) I join this activity as stage director. My main work is to control of stage setting and make plan for lighting. We play on January 25th, at Uruma-city hall. So please come and enjoy our play!
